We are looking to hire an Associate within the InvestmentResearch team, led by the Chief Investment Officer. The role will assist with sourcing, analysing, and monitoring fund investments across long only funds, hedge funds and alternative strategies. The position is full-time, based in our office in Knightsbridge, London.

• Assist with fund sourcing and research, including attending fund manager meetings, writing due diligence reports, and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Monitor existing fund investments, develop and maintain relationships with fund managers, and write up notes of calls and meetings.
• Contribute to the asset allocation and portfolio construction of client portfolios.
• Support the client-facing Portfolio Management team by providing relevant information and analysis, both verbal and written.
• Produce research papers on strategy groups or investment themes.
• Consolidate fund returns from various sources into internal data systems.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks relating to the investment research process as required.

• The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in fund research. We also encourage applications from candidates with 2-4 years of experience in other areas of investment management, but who wish to transition to a manager research role.
• Some familiarity with fund strategies (e.g. long only equity, credit, equity long/short, event driven, macro, quant, etc.) would be preferred, but is not essential.
• Strong academic background.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
• Logical, curious and a critical thinker.
• Strong communication skills; able to convey complex information concisely and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
• Self-starter; able to proactively manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
•  Uncompromising attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills, with advanced knowledge ofMicrosoft Excel and some experience using financial data systems (Bloomberg, Morningstar, FactSet etc.).
