PE Investment Associate

We are looking to hire an Associate within the PrivateEquity team. The role will assist with sourcing, analysing, and monitoring direct co-investment opportunities and private fund investments across illiquid asset classes. The position is full-time, based in our office in Knightsbridge,London.

• Assisting with all elements of co-investment and fund selection processes including attending manager meetings, conducting in depth quantitative and qualitative analyses, conducting expert and reference calls and writing IC materials.  
• Monitoring existing fund investments and co-investments, develop and maintain relationships with fund managers.
• Contributing to the asset allocation and portfolio construction of Eighteen48’s Fund of Fund vehicles.
• Supporting performance and client reporting functions.
• Managing fund and direct investment opportunity pipelines.
• Performing other ad-hoc tasks relating to the investment analysis process as required.

• The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in PE fund selection and Co-Investment underwriting. We also encourage applications from candidates with 2-4 years of experience in other areas of corporate finance/investment management, but who wish to transition to a fund and investment analysis role.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills(including financial modelling experience) are essential, progress towards a professional qualification is preferred.
• Familiarity with private fund strategies (e.g. Buyout,Growth, Credit, VC).
• Strong academic background.
• Logical, curious and a critical thinker.
• Strong communication skills; able to convey complex qualitative and quantitative information concisely and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
• Self-starter; able to proactively manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
•  Uncompromising attention to detail.
• Fluency in a second European language is preferred but not essential.
